Giallo Fiorito Granite Slabs
Giallo granite is a banded yellow-grey migmatite from California. This stone may be nominated as a granite on a global scale, but it must be nominated as a migmatite in the European Standard's application region. Because the veining and color of Giallo California granite vary and a tiny sample may not be indicative of the entire slab, swatch samples for major projects must be approved to confirm that the blocks are all removed from the same quarry face for matching purposes. A clear epoxy resin filler may be used during the polishing process to cover any micro fissures or small pitting, but this has no effect on the stone's integrity; it only offers a better surface finish.
